Everest Base Camp Trek - 16 days

A well-planned trek projected to get you to the base of the world’s crown Mt. Everest!

Ever since Mt. Everest was first conquered by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa in 1953, Everest Base Camp has been magnetically attracting the trekkers from all over the world. Surrounded by the UNESCO World heritage site, Sagarmatha National Park, the Base Camp is a moderately challenging trekking destination.

This trek which runs directly to and from Lukla has been devised to have trekking experience in this part of the Himalaya within a circumscribed timeframe. Though, many of the routes through the mountains are strenuous, the main Everest Base Camp trial is comparatively easier and there are ample number of tea houses to eat and rest comfortably throughout the way.

The Everest Base Camp trek starts at Lukla and continues to upper Phakding along Dudh Kosi valley which mounts up to the land of great Sherpas, Namche. Engaging forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs render the assuasive beginning to your trek right along the way to Namche. During the early autumns and the late springs, the flowers on the neighborhood of the trekking trial will make your walk an everlasting memory. From Namche the trekking trial goes along a high traversing course and then head towards Tengboche Monastery. The monastery majestically postures at 3867m and is structurally settled on a ridge top with imposing views of the Everest landscape. Then the trial condescends to Imja Khola and proceeds to the cultural villages of Pangboche and Pheriche before finally drawing closer to the Khumbu Glacier.

Leaving the timberline behind and following the glacier, the trial first grasps the cultural encounter at the highland Sherpa village Lobuche; a vantage point for some extravagant views of the Ama Dablam, Taweche and other peaks and then heads towards Gorak Shep; an overnight stoppage point just 173m below the Everest Base Camp. From Gorakshep you also have the chance to climb up to Kala Pathar from where you can catch some top-drawer views of the Himalayan glories. The view from Kalapattar includes far-fetched views of the south west face of the gigantic beauty; Mt. Everest. You then trek down to Gorakshep and climb up to explore Everest Base Camp; the base of mighty Everest at the base of the Khumbu ice fall before retracing your way back down to Lukla.
