Kathmandu and Chitwan Tour - 5 days

This five-day tour offers you some insightful opportunities to explore the cultural and natural highlights of Kathmandu and Chitwan. The trip starts with your journey to Chitwan, the home of Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO world Heritage Site. On the way, you will stop at Trishuli, a fast flowing Himalayan River popular for white water rafting. You will experience a stimulating white water adventure that will last for 3 hours. After the thrilling adventure, you will continue to Chitwan for 2 nights’ jungle adventure. In Chitwan, you will encounter rare birds and animals among lush vegetation; and if you are lucky, you may also spot the Royal Bengal tigers. After three days’ of fun and excitement in wilderness, you will fly back to Kathmandu for yet another exciting sightseeing tour to the cultural marvels of Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel (1400m)

As you enter Nepal on a clear day, it is an electrifying experience to be welcomed by the panoramic view of snowcapped mountain ranges sprawling around, before you land in Kathmandu. A representative and driver from TAGnepal will meet and greet you at the airport. They will escort you to your designated hotel and help in your check-in procedure and will brief you about the trip beginning the next day.

Day 02: Drive to Royal Beach Camp, 3 hours rafting & transfer to Chitin (415m)

After your breakfast, you will drive to Chitwan via Royal Beach Camp. Royal Beach Camp can be reached after 3-3.5 hours’ drive from Kathmandu. The Camp is located en route at Trishuli River, which is famous for white water rafting with some exciting rapids amidst the beauty of nature. You will experience a 3-hour thrilling 3rd and 4th grade rafting adventure and head towards Chitwan. Today you will stay in a comfortable resort/hotel near the National Park area.

Day 03: Jungle safari & Excursion

Today will be one of the most fun filled days as you will go for exciting jungle safari and excursion. Chitwan is home to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The place lies in the subtropical zone of southern Nepal. The Park houses a total of 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish along with famous One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile. You will involve in activities like elephant safari, canoeing, bird watching, jungle walk etc that will offer you a lifetime opportunity for witnessing exotic wildlife and diverse ecosystem of Nepal. In the evening, you will also have Tharu cultural spectacle.

Day 04: Fly to Kathmandu, Evening walking to Asan Tol and Kathmandu Darbar Square

You will fly back to Kathmandu from Bharatpur airport, which is about 10 km away from the National Park area. Once you reach Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. After some relaxation, you will stroll to Kathmandu Darbar Square via Ason tole, a busy and fascinating square of the city. Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the three medieval palace squares of Kathmandu valley enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Square treasures the art and architecture that date back to 500 years. As the place vividly presents the magnificent repertoire of craftsmanship, it is rightly called as the most impressive landmark of Kathmandu.

Day 05: Departure from Kathmandu

Finally, your fun filled trip will come to an end. Your tour officer and a driver will be at your hotel reception to pick you up three and half hours prior to your departure. You will be transferred to the airport for your international flight back home.
