The Expedition Team Heads towards the Interim Camp!
TAGnepal Expedition Team has proceeded towards the Interim Camp (5700 m) after breakfast today. After the completion of the “Puja Ceremony” yesterday and the Team’s setting off for the Interim Camp today, the Expedition can be said to have actually started in its true sense. The team will stay overnight there and climb up further towards the Advance Base Camp (6400 m) on 26th April. However, they will return back to the Interim Camp for overnight stay. After a rest day on 27th April, the Team will head further high to the Advance Base Camp the next day and stay overnight there. After all these back and forth acclimatization climbs, they will finally settle at the Advance Base Camp and have final preparation (climbing and fitness training) for Everest summit. Amidst this preparation, the Team will also look for the proper weather window and wait until the high camps are set up. So, for the next one and half month, the team’s only mantra will be “step by step and no haste!”
