TAGnepal Associates with “Run for Hope” to Raise Fund for Earthquake Victims
One of the prime concerns of TAGnepal is to value and compliment the society it roots on. In this regard, we are always trying to make meaningful contribution to the society and bring change into people’s lives. The world is not unaware about the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal on 25 April 2015. During the time, TAGnepal got actively involved in relief works by distributing relief materials, providing medical aids and helping the victims build the makeshifts, especially in the remote hard-hit outposts that are not easily accessible. That’s a story of a year ago. However, the pains are still fresh, wounds unhealed and many things undone. So, in this connection TAGnepal is being associated with “Run for Hope”, a charity event to help raise fund for earthquake victims of Nepal, with a view to offer some helping hands to the still-afflicted communities.
“Run for Hope” is being organized by Toowoomba Road Runners (TRR) on12th June, 2016 at Lake Annand Park, Toowoomba, Qweensland, Australia. TRR is a non-profit organization run by a group of local runners with an objective to encourage walkers, joggers and runners for fitness and fun. TRR has been in operation since 1979 and been organizing different running programs as a part of their regular activities and provide charity funds to its primary and secondary beneficiaries. This time, they are organizing “Run for Hope” in association with more than 10 organizations including TAGnepal as its prime international associate. The program is scheduled to start at 8 am local time and covers 4 km either by walking or running. The registration fee is $15 for an individual; and $ 40 per family of 4 (two adults and 2 children). The program hopes to raise significant amount of funds for the earthquake victims of Nepal.
