TAG International Everest Expedition North Ridge, Tibet-2016
Welcome to our Expedition Updates!
TAGnepal is all set for its yet another adventure package, Everest Expedition via North Ridge (Tibet) this spring 2016. In this connection, we are highly pleased to announce that we have completed our final preparation on logistic part in Kathmandu and are looking forward to the smooth running of the Expedition as a whole. Though, this is the first Everest Expedition ever organized by TAGnepal Treks & Expedition; we are fully committed for the entire satisfaction of our valuable team members.
Our Expedition team has two groups of enthusiastic climbers from Argentina, Canada, Mexico, Malaysia and Switzerland. One group, which is led by Lam Babu Sherpa, consists of 5 members from University of Technology, Malaysia. Another group is an 8 member International group led by Tendi Sherpa, a Nepalese experienced mountain guide who has not only led 10 successful expeditions to the Everest Summit; but also participated in many successful mountaineering trainings and rescue missions. Our Expedition crew includes 5 mountain guides, 8 climbing Sherpas, 7 cook staffs, 3 BC managers and 1 High Altitude mountain doctor to ensure the flawless operation of our Expedition.
Because of the less objective hazards (lesser risk of rock fall, avalanche, crevasse etc), we choose to climb via North Ridge this spring. After the streak of bad luck for two consecutive years due to avalanche in 2014 and devastating earthquake in 2015, we hope that we could achieve our goal to summit Everest safely and successfully this year. We are tentatively planning to depart for Tibet by 12th April, 2016 and hopefully we will be summiting between 15th May-30th depending on the circumstances like weather condition, route condition and fitness level of the climbing members. All the best for the whole Team!
