Four Argentines Head for Lobuche Summit
TAGnepal has been experiencing a growth in the number of visitors from Argentina recently. After, a group of Argentine climbers set off for summiting Amadablam (6,812m) few days ago, there is another team from the same country aiming to climb Lobuche peak (6,119 m). The team of four, including the Mountain Guide Julián Insarralde, is now heading towards the peak after successfully completing Everest Base Camp Trek.
On the way, they had some wonderful moments at Kalapatthar (5,644.5 m), an incredible vantage point to witness the panoramic beauty of Khumbu Glacier, Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Ama Dablam and other Himalayan peaks; in full glory. Julián Insarralde, who is also the leader of the trip, owns a travel company named Trekking & Alta Montañais based in Argentina. Now, he is in Nepal to have a Himalayan mountaineering experience and also to see a prospect of working in the Himalayas with the local partner.
Jangbu Sherpa, who is supporting the team as a trekking and climbing guide, has said that the weather is fantastic, the members are in good health and the trek has been great so far. Along with the delightful trekking experience, the team is now looking forward to the successful ascent of Lobuche peak with great excitement.
Meanwhile, TAGnepal is considering the continuous increment of Argentine visitors in a very positive light as such trend is expected to be helpful in the promotion of Nepal in South American market. All the best team Argentina for Lobuche success!!!
