Everest Expedition 2016 has Finally Set off!
Everest Expedition 2016 has finally set off after the group’s trek departure to Lhasa on 12th April 2016. Today is the members’ third day in Lhasa (3660m) and are planned to stay till tomorrow as a part of acclimatization. Soon after their arrival in Lhasa, they have met the China Tibet Mountaineering Association representatives for briefing on Everest climbing. They are now engaged in visiting the areas of local interest including Potala Palace, the most famous landmark of Lhasa. Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, is one of the most desired destination for travelers all round the world. The place is rightly called as the “city of wonders” because of its cultural and spiritual grandeur, which is intact even amongst the growing influence of westernization. The members are quite happy to have such a lifetime experience about the Tibetan art and culture. They will continue their journey to Gyantse (3940m) tomorrow and are hopeful to reach Base Camp (5100m) on 20th April.
