A Workshop on “Digital Marketing” by Nepal Tourism Board
A one-day workshop on Digital Marketing has been organized by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) at Hotel Marshyangdi. The workshop has been organized as NTB’s one of the initiatives to support the travel service providers, mainly hoteliers and travel agents; in promoting Nepal as a valued destination. The program is one of the events of a chain program scheduled to be organized in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan from May 11 to May 19. The workshop aims at providing comprehensive methods and skills for planning, managing and delivering effective marketing strategies in various electronic medias.
After Ms Ujjwala Dali, Officiating Director of Tourism Marketing and Promotion, NTB initiated the program; it was addressed by Mr. Len Cordiner, Director of Hotel Link Solutions. Mr. Cordiner, who has been in the field of operating service companies for 40 years, is also an inspirational leader and mentor. Apart from that, he has also been working extensively in establishing many online travel and leisure businesses since 2006. His expertise is expected to be instrumental in facilitating the skills of digital marketing among the travel service providers in Nepal.
With the rise of electronic media and its overwhelming influence not only in the travel trade but also in the overall global context, the participants have found the workshop very fruitful and relevant. As a part of the “Training and Development” program of TAGnepal Treks and Expedition; Mr. Gobinda Gurung, the Managing Director has also participated in the program. He has hoped to experience increased efficiency by being more updated with the global marketing trend after attending the program.
